1.   Language for Making Rules The purpose of this lesson is to teach the language necessary for formulating rules. I have taught this lesson to all levels from middle school to university. Essentially, students are given a demonstration of the language needed to formulate rules and then are asked to formulate the classroom rules for both teachers and students.

7.   Error Correction Error correction is often done by the teacher providing corrections for mistakes made by students. However, it is probably more effective for students to correct their own mistakes. In order to do this, students and the teacher should have a common shorthand for correcting mistakes.

8.   Working Collaboratively in the College EFL Classroom The lesson focuses on a story about a medical student who was badly injured in a car accident when a drunken driver hit her. The students learn, through the course of the lesson, that many other parties may also be responsible.
