1.   Body Parts I do a couple of different things to teach body parts. For the older students, I get bulletin board paper and they draw a body and label parts. The younger students may draw the bodies themselves, or may just label certain parts, or we may sing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" in Spanish.

5.   Using Advanced Vocabulary in Writing One of the most important steps in improving writing skills is expanding the use of more descriptive language when describing actions. Students tend to repeat verb usage: "He said..., She told him..., She asked..., He ran quickly..., He walked across the room...".

6.   Improving Character Adjectives Vocabulary This intermediate level lesson employs a fun questionnaire to focus on developing personal description vocabulary. Students can practice conversation skills while also focusing on improving their command of refined character description. This first phase is then followed by a vocabulary development exercise sheet.

7.   Descriptive Vocabulary for Cinema, Movies, and Stars Speaking about various actor and actress and the films they have appeared in provides an ideal opportunity for students to use "bigger than life" descriptive adjectives - thus widening their the descriptive vocabulary skills.

8.   Translation Lesson The Internet offers some truly unique opportunities that can give teaching new impetus and be quite a lot of fun for the students. One of these new opportunities is the ability to translate an entire Internet page from English into a target language, or, vice-versa, translate from another language into English.
