1.   Wanted: The Infamous Five - Foodborne Bacteria Lesson Plan Students will be able to name the five most common types of foodborne pathogens. Students will understand how bacteria can grow and spread. Students will develop healthy hygiene and food-safety habits.

2.   Kitchen Confidence - Spring-Cleaning Lesson Plan Students will identify common kitchen contaminants that can cause foodborne illness. Students will develop the ability to choose the proper equipment and use the appropriate methods to thoroughly clean the kitchen. Students will understand through direct experience why it is important to maintain a clean kitchen.

3.   Keep It Cool - Fridge Hygiene Lesson Plan This lesson is based around a classroom discussion promoting the awareness of why it is important to maintain a proper fridge temperature and the proper methods for cleaning the fridge. A vital aspect of the lesson is to have students obtain free fridge thermometers through safefood in order to install and monitor them at home.
