1. Peer Practice/Reciprocal Learning Lesson
"The Interpersonal Strategies focus on acquiring new knowledge and practicing vital skills through personal sharing, individual and social awareness, group-focused learning, and students' prior insight and knowledge" (Silver, 2003). Reciprocal Learning is one method of teaching in this strategy. In the following math lesson I will implement this strategy as my students coach one another in review of their prior learning about decimals.

2. Surface Area & Volume
In this lesson, students are introduced to the concept of surface area. They identify the surface and attributes of figures that are measurable. They describe and distinguish the measures of surface area and volume of the figures. Given scenarios, students describe attributes which represent surface area and volume. Students apply the terms by identifying and distinguishing them in real-life scenarios.

3. Multiplication
This lesson will show a method for multiplying two numbers using coloured pallet sticks. It's done using a powerpoint presentation

4. Distributive property
Using Froot Loops or other manipulative to demonstrate the distributive property.

5. Modeling and Adding Integers Using Numbers Lines and Counters
The purpose of this lesson is to enable students to add integers and apply this lesson to real life situations. In this lesson students will model and add integers using number lines and counters through the use of technology-based resources. Hands-on activities and class discussions will enhance and reinforce the objectives.

6. Math Sleuths
Students cooperatively complete a Math Hunt that challenges their problem-solving skills and enhances social studies or science understanding.

8. The Face of a Shape
Allows students to discover what plain shapes make up the space shapes. They use blocks and paint to stamp the flat sides of three-dimensional shapes.

10. Addiction
Students will give a report based on the Drugs & Alcohol section of www.kidshealth.org; and create a mural or some other medium that warns of the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
