1.   Probability Experiment
To have students experiment with a hands on empirical probability problem and see how single and compound events are involved in the experiment. To also have students see that empirical probability more closely resembles theoretical probability with more trials.

2.   Shake It Up with Scatterplots
Developed by The Actuarial Foundation with Scholastic, the turnkey lessons and reproducibles in this program build student skills while showing the real-world relevance of math to understanding the probability of events happening.

3.   Branching Out with Tree Diagrams
This lesson plan explains how to use a tree diagram to map outcomes and determine the probability of different events occurring.

4.   Probability - What Are the Odds?
The students will be able to use the information about probability and apply it to several different problems. Each student will work with a partner of their liking and work through the problems and expressing the answers as decimals, ratios, fractions and percents.

5.   Probability Lesson
Students will be able to define probability and apply it to a real life situation.

6.   Ratio and Probability
Find the probability of an event or of two independent events.

7.   A Lottery of Learning
The student will learn the probability necessary to analyze a lottery and determine probability of winning, expected value of a single entry, and the mechanics of setting up a lottery as a fair game.

8.   Exploring Probability
The teacher will split the children into the groups, which s/he already determined. Once the children are in their groups, the teacher will have them discuss quietly different card/ board games that they like to play. The teacher will then hand out either a deck of cards or a die to each group.

9.   Probability
The student will: 1) Understand the concept of probability and the basic probability formula. 2) Will be able to predict the possible outcomes of an event.
