1. Sandbox Sedimentology and Measurement of Angle of Repose
Students get a shoebox which they fill with sand, some students use wet sand some dry and students first must sieve gravel to recognize various ways of sorting sand. Then students can combine different sand types or keep them separate and will measure the angle of repose of different sand pyramids. Wet and dry, the idea is to study landslides and sedimentology in a visual way.
