1.   Discovering Dinosaurs: Planning your Summer Vacation This lesson introduces elementary students to the online Atlas of Canada. They will use the atlas to plan an imaginary vacation from Victoria, British Columbia to Drumheller, Alberta.

2.   What is a Raptor? Exhibits a lesson on raptures. Students identify traits of raptors, create a relevant word bank, and classify raptors based on their characteristics.

3.   Dinosaurs! Students explore dinosaur-related content study the characteristics of some dinosaurs, classify dinosaurs using a time line, craft questions to a dinosaur expert, and more.

4.   Dinosaur Skeletons Students learn about dinosaur bones by constructing models out of tongue depressors and tooth picks.

5.   If You Meet a Dinosaur Book Allow students to engage in dramatic play and make their own books in this lesson on dinosaurs.

6.   Dinosaur Themed Guided Reading, Ssr, Focus Writing Depending on the level of the kids, these might be the easier reading days or the harder reading days. I divided my class into three groups and had them practice the poems. Then they read them to the other 2/3s of the class. They loved it. Each group had a chart tablet size of the poem which they could decorate.

7.   No Bones About It In this lesson, students act as paleontologists, examining pictures of dinosaur skeletons and applying their knowledge of the relationship between skeletal features and survival to create 'Paleontology Reports' about their perceptions of the lives of these creatures.
